For those of you that don't know (I'm sure most of you do), I've moved! It's been a great adventure buying a house in a new town, but it has also been a challenge working out how to best continue to serve my existing clients. I'm just in the East Bay, so I'm still close enough to come to town often for sessions, but far enough that I need to plan the sessions carefully. This means that I'll be raising my prices for regular sessions- the cost of gas to drive to my sessions has been more than I anticipated! In the Fall & Christmas time I didn't offer planned mini-session dates, because of this increased cost. But I've had so many people asking for mini-sessions that I've decided to release a handful of planned mini-session dates. These are discounted short sessions for those of you who would still like a budget session option. They may be budget options, but they're all great sessions! They include, Blossom Sessions, Spring Chick Sessions, Tee-Pee Sessions and sessions at The Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco! The special sessions are listed below with the dates & locations & any other special info. Mini-Sessions!

Almond Blossoms, March 4- Turlock 
Times available from 2 to 5:30pm. Blossom sessions are among my most popular sessions each year!  Each session will be a half an hour and will include a minimum of 10 edited digital images for download (full resolution images for printing or posting). There is a $40 deposit to hold your spot, and there are only 6 spots available. These spots are sure to book up quickly. Spring Chicks Mini Sessions, March 25- Lodi, Ca
Afternoon times available. This year I'll be having Spring Chick Mini-Sessions with live chicks at the beautiful West 12 Ranch in Lodi. These sessions are sure to be super adorable!  Each session will be 20 minutes and will include a minimum of 8 edited digital images for download (full resolution images for printing or posting). The session fee covers up to 3 children, with an additional $10 per extra child, as I'll adjust the time to accommodate the extra children. There is a $40 deposit to hold your spot, and there are only 5 spots available. These spots are sure to book up quickly. Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, April 1
The Palace of Fine Arts is my most popular San Francisco location for pics. It's gorgeous, and makes a stunning backdrop for your portraits. If you get the full hour session, we can end the session at the beach across the road that has a gorgeous view of the Golden Gate bridge.  There's a $40 deposit on the half hour session and a $60 deposit on the full hour session, and sessions are very limited. Tee-Pee Mini Sessions, April 29
Afternoon times available. This year, I'll be setting up a super cute Tee-Pee mini session in Ripon! I've been dying to do Tee-Pee sessions for years, these styled sessions are whimsical, and adorable, and just everything that childhood is about! There will be only 7 sessions available, so if you'd like a spot, don't wait to reserve it! Each session will be 30 minutes and will include a minimum of 10 edited digital images for download (full resolution images for printing or posting). Aryssa & Preston were married at the fabulous Spring Creek Golf & Country Club in Ripon, Ca. The venue could not look more perfect and the bride and groom were stunning!

Alison & Mark had an absolutely gorgeous summer wedding at the beautiful Stepping Stone Nursery. The sheer volume of flowers was astounding- they were everywhere! I have honestly never seen so many flowers- it was breathtaking (as was Allison- seriously, she was PERFECT)! And little Amelia stole the show with her pretty dress and sparkling personality (I was definitely smitten with her)! Here are a few shots from the big day:

Byron and Stephanie had an intimate mountain wedding in Cathey's Valley, and the sunset was just so amazing (and so was Stephanie in her dress!), that I just had to share a few!

Every once in a while over the years I've gone to the hospital after the birth for a client or friend to shoot some image of newborn while he or she was still tiny and new. But now the photography industry has made a name for these sessions- they're "Fresh 48 Sessions". These sessions are planned and booked during the pregnancy, and then I'm called right after the birth so that I can head to the hospital within the first 48 hours (although if Momma is up to it, ideally it's within the first 24 hours). And during this session I capture the emotion (or exhaustion, or both) that the new family is feeling. It's about 60 minutes, and I get shots of diaper changes, breast feeding (if Mom is comfortable with this), lots of cuddles, maybe interactions with siblings (if they're allowed in the room), and the adorable little yawns and stretches that only a newborn can make cute. Whatever is there, I'll get it. What I adore about these sessions is that there's no pressure on the family- just sit back and cuddle your newborn and leave the rest to me- but the love that comes out in these images is unlike any other session. Blossom sessions are among my most requested sessions each year, and it's no wonder as the white blossoms make the most gorgeous backdrop! Of course it helps when the family is loving, adorable and fun to photograph!

When I first met she was about 3 years old, and she was just the cutest little thing you'll ever see. She had long blond hair (that her mom had curled to perfection), huge brown eyes, extra cute little squishy toddler cheeks, and she was wearing the probably the frilliest, laciest dress on Earth and tiny little girl high heels. I was completely charmed by this vision of lace and curls. Of course this frilly little girl grew into a tough cookie and a smart woman, and is now marrying a farmer (not what I would have imagined when I met her!). They'll be tying the knot at Stepping Stones Nursery in Atwater in June, and I'm so excited to be capturing their big day! (On a side note, can I tell you how old I feel shooting her wedding?) For their engagement session we headed out to some of Mark's family's orchard, here's a few from that session:
